a dear sister said to me a couple of days back, the heart is the window to all evil and all good. just how Rasulullah conveyed in hadith 6 on the importance of purifying our hearts. on the same day before in my family we went through the ayat,

لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ مُبِينٌ

(24:12) When you heard of it, why didn't the Believing men and the Believing women have a good opinion of themselves, and why did they not say, "This is a manifest slander?"

which suggests that we should always have good opinions on our brothers and sisters. or the term we are more familiar with, husnuzhon. ;)
